Who knew Carly Rae Jepsen had such a wide fan base?
To my left was two little girls under the age of 10 with a picture of Carly set as their phone background. To my right was a high school aged boy singing every single word to all of Carly's songs, and behind me was a couple over the age of 50, with the wife singing timidly, and the husband fist pumping the entire show. The people watching was a show itself, and if Carly had been terrible I still would have had a great time.
I knew Carly has been rising in the ranks of pop music, but her humbleness, enthusiasm, and relaxing demeanor onstage gave a lot more to the audience than expected. She's as cute as button, you want to be friends with her but you're also in awe of how talented she is. It goes to show that not every pop star needs a slew of backup dancers and singers, Carly showed everyone through her confidence and happiness that if a performer has fun onstage, so will everyone else in the venue.
