My City

I could spend every night downtown in Kansas City; every time I’m there I always I find something new that I’ve never seen before. I can almost see all of downtown driving on the bridge back home from my sisters over the Missouri River. The city looks small perched among the railroad tracks and worn down warehouses. The streets are never too busy on a normal night; it’s scattered and scarce and feels like the city’s all mine.
